The monk who codes, the engineer who prays

Binary Veritas refuses the false choice between the sacred and the technological. We read Genesis next to information theory, the Book of Enoch next to the latest model release, and manifesting next to the Gospel of Mark. We don't do it to debunk any of them. We do it to ask the question underneath all of them: what is actually real, and who is rendering it?

It's for anyone who has felt that their faith and their questioning, technological mind belong to the same person, and who has been told by both sides that they do not.

How we try to work

Question over conclusion. We have a point of view and we will tell you what it is. We won't tell you more than we know.

Primary texts first. If a text is free online, we link it before we recommend a book about it.

Say where it breaks. Every essay ends with where its own comparison stops working. A resemblance is not a proof, and we would rather lose the argument than win it with a stretched one.

No doomsday, no rage bait, no hype. We are not here to tell you the universe will Venmo you, or that the end is next Tuesday.

How this site is made

You should know this, especially given our subject. This site is made by a person with the help of machines.

The short posts in Signal start as AI drafts, written to a brief. A person reads each one and approves or rejects it before anything is published. Only approved posts appear here.

The verse wallpapers are generated on our own computer every night. The scene is AI-made. The scripture is placed exactly from the King James text by a program, so a model can never reword it.

Essays and library guides are drafted with AI assistance, and we correct them when we are wrong. If you find a mistake, tell us on X, and we will fix it.

We earn money when you buy a book through some links, and that is explained here. Our book notes are written the same way whether we earn from the link or not.

The threads

  • The Cutting Room Floor: What the deleted scenes of scripture actually say, and why they were cut.
  • Render Reality: Where intention ends and prayer begins, and how to tell faith from wishful thinking.
  • Signal in the Noise: The week in machines, read through consciousness and faith.
  • Witness: Where the first century meets the modern world. Question over conclusion.
